20 Things that Bother Me

1.             There's too much water on the sidewalk to walk or bike home after class

Why It Exists: It had just rained a lot, and there must not be proper draining because the water is sitting in puddles on the sidewalk, most likely because of leaves, trash, or large chunks of soil clogging the drain

2.             Forgetting my rain jacket when it rains

Why It Exists: The weather app on my phone told me it was not going to rain so I did not bring my rain jacket

3.             My refrigerator stinks

Why It Exists: I have not taken the chicken out of my refrigerator from last week and therefore it has gone bad and started to smell

4.             My favorite pair of shoes are wet

Why It Exists: It rained on my way home and I was forced to walk in the rain which caused my shoes to become wet

5.             My muscles are sore

Why It Exists: I worked out

6.             There are no snacks in my room

Why It Exists: I have not gone grocery shopping yet and have an empty cabinet

7.             I have not received my paycheck from my boss yet

Why It Exists: I was not at work last Friday, and need to go pickup it up

8.             My favorite chair broke

Why It Exists: It was an old chair and the wood finally gave out after a lot of use

9.             My neighbor playing music really loud while I try to do this assignment

Why It Exists: My neighbor may think I am not home, so he thinks he can be loud

10.          My neck hurts

Why It Exists: I fell asleep on my pillow wrong because I was watching the office before I went to sleep

11.          People being distracted at the gym instead of working out

Why It Exists: People think they can be on their phones or talk to friends while using a machine instead of looking around and seeing that there is a line

12.          Florida Pre-Paid not returning my calls

Why It Exists: They may be too busy and may have not listened to my voicemail yet

13.          Having a class from 9:30-1:45 every Wednesday

Why It Exists: Summer A is a lot smaller than Fall and Spring semesters, therefore the classes must be compressed which means longer class time

14.          My bike brakes are broken

Why It Exists: I bought a cheap bike instead of an expensive one because I wanted to save money and sacrificed quality for price

15.          I have to bike all the way to Broward Chick-fil-a for lunch

Why It Exists: I have no food in my room and must bike all the way there if I would like to use my flex bucks and eat

16.          Gift Certificates and More constantly sending me emails about deals

Why It Exists: When I signed up I was automatically put on the mailing    list and I have not unsubscribed from their mailing list because I keep forgetting

17.          The lack of parking at Mothers Pub

Why it Exists: The only parking they have is street parking and on busy nights those spots are full because the restaurant is so busy

18.          The line at Chick-Fil-A is so long it reaches the door

Why It Exists: Chick-Fil-A is a very popular place to for lunch and the demand for it is extremely high around noon

19.          There is not a dustpan for me to use when I clean up the kitchen

Why It Exists: Someone must have taken it or moved it after they used    it and not put it back where it belongs

20.          My Computer sending me notifications to update it

Why It Exists: I have not updated my computer in a long time and it is due for an update

Reflection:

         This assignment was both easier and harder than I had expected. Initially, I thought this assignment would be fairly difficult to think of 20 issues that bugged me, but relatively easy to write down why they occur. After doing the assignment, I found it easier to think of 20 issues that do bug me, but I also found it much more difficult realizing why they bothered me. Doing this assignment taught me a lot about how very little I observe what occurs around me. I thought this would be fairly easy since I consider myself very watchful, but I found out that I really do not pay attention to my surroundings as much as I thought I did. By forcing myself to not only think of issues that bug me, but why they bug me has taught me a lot about entrepreneurship and the importance of understanding how the world works, and ways that I can improve it.
